Took this picture from the McDonald's parking lot that we are sitting at right now. We can see the fires, but they are not super close to us. We can smell the fires in the air (sadly smells good), and the air is a little hazy, but we are not in any danger here. People are getting evacuated from the cities up in the mountains, and they are coming towards us. They are taking shelter in a high school just down the road from us, so we feel pretty safe where we are.
Other then that, we are doing well! I start work tomorrow, and Allison is looking forward to a fun day of organizing our things : ) We have all of our boxes unpacked, and pretty much everything is where it should be. We have had some really great luck with craigslist, and have a nice new kitchen hutch and entertainment center. Allison cooked our first home-cooked meal tonight in our new place, pretty amazing, not going to lie. I'm a lucky guy. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Nelson for the table and chairs, they actually match our wood floors and new kitchen hutch perfectly : )
